Duties of this LEAP Job Posting:

The position is responsible for the management and implementation of approved information services strategies. As a member of the operational management team, the position plays a key role in achieving the organization’s mission, vision, and strategic directions.

Key areas of focus include facilitating the maintenance and security of computer networks and systems for the organization. It also ensures the effective functioning of systems and processes to support the integrity of all information gathered, and compliance with all relevant legal and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications for this LEAP Job Posting:
  • Diploma or degree in computer science, network administration, cloud technology or related field is preferred;
  • 5+ years’ experience in technical support or network technical roles;
  • Demonstrated experience with networking concepts including TCP/IP, routing, switching, VLANs, subnetting and other networking concepts;
  • Demonstrated experience with networking hardware including firewalls, switches, wireless and VPN appliances;
  • Demonstrated experience with redundancy and backup/restoration solutions including RAID, disk-to-disk, and cloud backup;
  • Extensive experience with Office365, Active Directory, Exchange Online, Teams, Virtual Voice services, and Virtualization technologies (Cloud, Hyper-V);
  • Experience with process automation, scripting (Powershell) and configuration management;
  • Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills, with a demonstrated ability to communicate effectively;
  • Excellent computer skills and superior working knowledge of software applications including spreadsheet and database programs; knowledge of current EHR a strong asset;
  • Strong organizational and management ability, with a demonstrated ability for critical thinking, quantitative and qualitative analysis, and reporting;
  • Deep understanding and experience of Indigenous culture, values, and perspectives as well as traditional and contemporary health care practices, and wholistic health and wellbeing; ability to speak and understand Anishinaabemowin a definite asset;
  • Experience working in an Indigenous organization; understanding and/or willingness to learn of Indigenous culture and values;
  • Proof of immunization in compliance with policy requirements is mandatory;
  • Valid drivers’ license, own vehicle and willingness and ability to travel required;
  • Criminal records check and current drivers’ abstract required;
  • Commitment to ongoing training and professional development relevant to job requirements; and positive attitude and capacity to act as a healthy lifestyle role model.
