Camp Stephens provides a unique opportunity for everyone. As a key member of the Kitchen Team, the Kitchen Staff Member assists with meal preparation, food safety, and maintaining a clean kitchen. This role involves preparing quality meals for campers and staff while supporting kitchen operations.

Wages: New hire-$58.33 per day & Returning staff-$62.50 per day (plus room & board)

Duties of this LEAP Job Posting:
  • Lead by example, providing support to campers, staff, and the broader camp team for a collaborative work environment.
  • Follow safety procedures and food handling standards.
  • Keep a clean, safe, and organized work area.
  • Ensure timely meal preparation, meeting quality standards and portion sizes.
  • Prepare and serve meals, considering dietary needs and preferences.

Qualifications for this LEAP Job Posting:
  • Certificate: Emergency First Aid, Non Violent Crisis Intervention, Mental Health First Aid, Food handler Certificate
  • Y Winnipeg Staff required trainings: Workplace Safety & Health, Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act Training (AODA), Respectful Workplace, Child Protection
  • Police Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Search and Child Abuse Registry Check

Note – for successful candidates who do not have all of the above required trainings, the Y Winnipeg is willing to provide.
