Duties:
- Perform diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on marine engines
- Inspect and troubleshoot mechanical issues with boats, motors, and marine systems
- Service a range of marine vessels, ensuring proper operation and safety standards
- Handle heavy-duty and diesel engine repairs as required
- Perform seasonal maintenance tasks such as wintering, de-winterizing, and commissioning boats
- Communicate effectively with customers and provide estimates and timelines for repairs
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
There are other opportunities with this job to work with heavy equipment if experienced
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Marine Mechanic or similar role in marine or small engine repair
- Valid drivers license
- Ability to lift heavy equipment and work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Comfortable working with a wide range of hand and power tools
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
- Ability to read and understand technical manuals and repair documentation
- Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems, as well as experience with heavy duty or diesel engines
