Duties:
The successful candidate will primarily support the Vaccine Preventable Disease Program. Working within a team to provide services and collaborating with community members and within community partners for planning, implementing, and evaluating Public Health programs within the Northwestern Health Unit region.
Qualifications:
- Must be enrolled in a Bachelor of Science in Nursing Program from a recognized University
- Advanced progress in a Nursing Program is required, third or fourth students are preferred
- Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and perform routine tasks without direction
- Ensure required documentation, safe practices, and adherence to all applicable policies and procedures
- Ability to meet assigned and urgent timelines
Other:
- All new Northwestern Health Unit employees are required to be fully vaccinated with a Health Canada approved COVID-19 vaccine as a condition of hire, unless medically exempt or otherwise exempt under the Ontario Human Rights Code
- Access to transportation. Mileage allowance provided.
- Successful candidate requires a clear Criminal Reference Check prior to start of work
