Duties:

The successful candidate will primarily support the Vaccine Preventable Disease Program.  Working within a team to provide services and collaborating with community members and within community partners for planning, implementing, and evaluating Public Health programs within the Northwestern Health Unit region.

 

Qualifications:

  • Must be enrolled in a Bachelor of Science in Nursing Program from a recognized University
  • Advanced progress in a Nursing Program is required, third or fourth students are preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and perform routine tasks without direction
  • Ensure required documentation, safe practices, and adherence to all applicable policies and procedures
  • Ability to meet assigned and urgent timelines

 

Other: 

  • All new Northwestern Health Unit employees are required to be fully vaccinated with a Health Canada approved COVID-19 vaccine as a condition of hire, unless medically exempt or otherwise exempt under the Ontario Human Rights Code
  • Access to transportation. Mileage allowance provided.
  • Successful candidate requires a clear Criminal Reference Check prior to start of work
