Wage: $22 – $26/hr
Duties:
- Site preparation: ripping up old roofing systems, cleaning, clearing, and preparing surfaces for new roofing systems.
- Hauling tools to and from truck and trailer and on top of roofs
- Safety set up: setting up safety rails, pylons, anchors and ropes to ensure proper fall arrest requirements
- Installation of flat roofing products: sheathing roofs, vapour barrier and insulation installation, screwing down cover board
- Installation of shingles: ripping old shingled roof, hauling scrap, hauling bundles
- Equipment operation: using hand tools and power tools
Qualifications:
- Reliability: must be on time with minimal absenteeism
- Strong work ethic: ability to work long labor-intensive hours in hot temperatures
- Physical strength: ability to lift sheets of plywood and bundles
- Strong attention to detail to ensure watertight seals
- Must be comfortable working at heights
- Fall arrest training (If not completed, will be required once hired)
