Duties:

This is an excellent entry-level opportunity, funded by Canada Summer Jobs program, an initiative of the Youth Employment and Skills Strategy, which aims to provide flexible and holistic services to help all young Canadians develop the skills and gain paid work experience to successfully transition into the labour market. Be available to fill in as needed to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the restaurant. Duties listed below are the minimum requirements, other tasks may be asked of you.

 

  • Welcome patrons and customers as they arrive
  • Direct and escort guests to their seats
  • Provide menus and suggest menu items
  • Maintain cleanliness of tables and dining areas during shift
  • Thank customers as they leave
  • Clear tables and clean table tops to prepare for the next guests
  • Assist with additional tasks assigned

  • Effective communication skills, team player attitude, and positive personality
  • Strong work ethic, punctuality, and ability to exceed in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to self-motivate, maintain sense of urgency, and keep momentum
  • Proven ability to build strong working relationships
  • Task-oriented and excellent organizational skills
