Duties:

This is a full-time position to provide wraparound, trauma-responsive support to female inclusive youth ages 12 to emerging adult. This position offers gender-inclusive, harm reduction based, and client-centered care with a strong focus on cultural safety and relationship-based practice. The role emphasizes supporting youth in the community and engaging with families and service partners to promote long-term safety, healing, and social integration. The hours of work will reflect the needs of the youth involved in the program which may include evenings and weekends.

 

Qualifications:

Preferred Minimum Qualifications:

  • Honors Bachelor of Social Work (H.B.S.W) registered and in good standing with the OCSWSSW, or equivalent education in related field, PLUS three (3) years of direct experience in supporting high-risk youth.
  • Applicants with equivalent qualifications and relevant lived or work experience will also be considered.

 

Knowledge And Skills Required:

  • Demonstrated knowledge of specialized/high-risk populations, especially as its impacts youth and young adults.
  • Proven ability to deliver trauma-responsive, culturally informed, and gender-inclusive support to young women and girls.
  • Experience in case management, systems navigation, crisis response, youth outreach and community-based care.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong knowledge of Intergenerational trauma, systemic oppression, and the experiences of equity-deserving populations.
  • Understanding of challenges faced by 2SLGBTQIA+, Indigenous, racialized, and newcomer youth.
  • Valid Ontario Driver’s License and access to a reliable vehicle.
  • Valid First Aid and CPR certification.
  • Clear Broad Records Check.
