Duties:
The Nurse Practitioner (NP) provides comprehensive primary care services to individuals and families across the lifespan in accordance with the standards and scope of practice established by the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO) for Registered Nurses in the Extended Class. Practicing within a collaborative, interdisciplinary team model, the NP plays a critical role in improving access to high-quality, client-centered primary care services for the residents of Ear Falls and surrounding communities.
This role emphasizes health promotion, disease prevention, risk reduction, and chronic disease management, while fostering strong community relationships and supporting innovative, evidence-based practice. The NP demonstrates leadership, accountability, professionalism, and a deep commitment to advancing the health and well-being of the community.”
Qualifications:
- Current registration in the Extended Class with the College of Nurses of Ontario;
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and be an effective team member; excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with a broad range of people including healthcare professionals, traditional people, leadership, and community members;
- Proof of immunization in compliance with policy requirements is mandatory;
- Current criminal records check required;
- Commitment to ongoing training and professional development relevant to job requirements;
- Positive attitude and capacity to act as a healthy lifestyle role model.
