Duties:

This is a great fit for someone who is reliable, careful, physically capable, and likes the satisfaction of doing a job well. You’ll be part of a small local team where your effort is noticed, your role matters, and your work directly contributes to the customer experience. Our delivery team is often the final impression customers have of our store. This role is about more than delivering furniture, it’s about bringing our values of care, professionalism, and respect into people’s homes.

As part of our Warehouse and Delivery Team, you will help ensure products are received, prepared, delivered, and placed with care.

In this role, you will:

  • Deliver furniture, mattresses, appliances, and home goods to customers’ homes
  • Assemble products when required
  • Load and unload products safely and efficiently
  • Take care to protect products, customer homes, vehicles, and property
  • Complete delivery paperwork accurately and return signed delivery slips
  • Drive the delivery vehicle safely and efficiently
  • Report vehicle maintenance or mechanical concerns
  • Receive product and prepare it for storage, delivery, or placement on the showroom floor
  • Help maintain accurate inventory counts for the warehouse and sales floor

As a small business, our team works together. From time to time, tasks may fall outside a formal job description. When the Warehouse and Delivery Team is best suited to help, those tasks may be delegated to the team.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-minded, customer-focused, and comfortable with physical work.

To be considered, you must have:

  • A valid Ontario Class G Driver’s Licence, or better
  • A satisfactory 3-Year Uncertified Driver Record
  • A satisfactory Criminal Record Check
  • The ability to work safely, accurately, and efficiently
  • The stamina to lift and carry up to 75 lbs repeatedly
  • Strong problem-solving skills and initiative
  • Good communication and customer service skills
  • A professional, respectful attitude
  • Appropriate work clothing and footwear

Furniture delivery can be physically demanding. Some days involve tight spaces, stairs, awkward items, weather, and problem-solving on the spot. The right person for this role takes pride in handling those moments carefully and professionally.
