Wage: $50,000 – $80,000 salary

 

Solid Construction Inc. is a well-established and respected General Contracting company based in Kenora, proudly serving Northwestern Ontario since 2003. We are currently seeking a motivated, organized, and detail-oriented Estimator/Junior Estimator to join our growing team.

Duties:

  • Assist Lead Estimator and Project Coordinator in the preparation of cost estimates for construction projects
  • Analyze drawings, specifications, and other documents to understand project scope
  • Research and compile data on materials, labor, and equipment costs
  • Prepare detailed quantity take-offs
  • Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain pricing information
  • Help maintain and update cost databases
  • Support in the development of project budgets and schedules

 

Qualifications:

  • Strong analytical and mathematical skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to read and interpret construction documents
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Previous experience in construction and/or construction estimation is a plus, but willing
  • to train the right individual
