Duties:

Corridor Construction is an Indigenous-owned construction company proudly owned by Iskatewizaagegan No. 39 Independent First Nation. We specialize in the civic construction sector, delivering high-quality services while supporting community growth and development.

Corridor Construction is seeking (6) reliable and safety-focused Flaggers (Traffic Control Persons) to manage traffic flow around active construction sites. This role is critical to ensuring the safety of workers, motorists, and the public. The successful candidate will be attentive, responsible, and able to work outdoors in varying conditions while maintaining clear and professional communication.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct and control traffic safely through or around construction zones
  • Communicate clearly with drivers using standard hand signals, signs, and radio communication
  • Set up and take down traffic control devices, including cones, signs, and barriers
  • Monitor traffic flow and adjust positioning as needed to maintain safety and efficiency
  • Maintain constant awareness of surroundings to identify and respond to potential hazards
  • Follow all safety regulations, company policies, and traffic control procedures
  • Coordinate with supervisors and crew members to support site operations
  • Ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times
  • Track hours worked and submit timesheets accurately and on time
  • Report any safety concerns, incidents, or near misses immediately

Qualifications:

  • Valid Traffic Control Person (TCP) / Flagger certification (Ontario) or willingness to obtain
  • Strong attention to detail and situational awareness
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to stand for long periods and work in all weather conditions
  • Reliable, punctual, and safety-oriented
  • Valid driver’s license.
