Hours of Work: Full-Time Permanent positions available (Monday – Friday, 8:30am – 4:30pm)
Work Remotely: No
Wage: based on experience ($24-26/hr)
Duties:
- Implement customized physiotherapy programming with residents including walking, exercises, modalities, etc.
- Run Physiotherapy group programs – balance and hand/wax group.
- Assist residents with wheelchair seating and mobility needs.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience working in LTCH considered an asset; education preferences – OTA/PTA diploma; BSc. Kin, Athletic Therapy, CFP Personal Trainer or Fitness Instructor
- Seating and mobility knowledge (walkers, wheelchairs)
- Experience with lifts and transfers an asset
- Enjoy working with geriatric population
- A healthy dose of common sense, empathy, compassion and personal/professional integrity
