Duties:
- Wash dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, pans, and kitchen utensils using commercial dishwashing equipment.
- Ensure all items are properly cleaned, sanitized, and stored.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dishwashing area.
- Empty garbage and recycling containers and replace liners as needed.
- Sweep and mop kitchen floors regularly and as required.
- Assist with cleaning kitchen equipment, walls, shelves, coolers, and workstations.
- Restock clean dishes, utensils, and supplies for kitchen staff.
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and workplace health and safety regulations.
- Assist kitchen staff with basic food preparation or other tasks when needed.
- Help with opening and closing cleaning duties.
- Work efficiently during busy meal periods while maintaining cleanliness standards.
Qualifications:
- Previous dishwashing or restaurant experience is an asset but not required.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to cleanliness and organization.
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs (23 kg).
- Reliable, punctual, and dependable.
- Positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team.
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to follow instructions and safety procedures.
- Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
