Fall Boat Yard Staff – Boat Lift Out / Winterize / Shrink Wrap

Wage: $25+ per hour depending on experience

 

Northern Harbour Marina is one of central Canada’s largest marinas, docking over 300 Yachts and storing over 350. We provide launch and lift services, docking, winterizing, summarizing, shrink wrap and winter storage.

Duties:

  • Launching boats off trailer at ramp and loading boats onto trailer
  • Assisting with boat lift and storage, including pressure washing hulls, running slings, helping align boats onto cradles/trailers, helping to winterize, moving blocks, A-frame shrink wrapping
  • Operating yachts of all types from personal watercrafts to 65-foot vessels (parking, test driving)

Qualifications:

  • Strong work ethic.
  • Be in good physical condition
  • Practice safety within all duties
  • Be willing to work outdoors in all kinds of weather
  • Able and willing to transition from one task to another quickly.
  • Willingness to assist and take direction from operator.
  • Be willing to ask questions and get clarity when needed.
  • Be willing to work Monday – Friday 8am – 5pm and some overtime during busy times. Some weekend work may be required in spring/fall. *note that casual/temporary positions may be available – please inquire.
  • Have a valid G driver’s license and a vehicle to get to/from work
  • Having a Boat License/Pleasure Craft Operator Card is an asset.
