Hours of Work: Part Time/ Casual: 8-12 Hours per week
Wage: $18-$22 depending on experience
The Grounds Crew member helps keep Anicinabe Park clean, safe, and welcoming for campers and day-use visitors. The successful applicant will take pride in maintaining the park’s grounds and facilities while providing friendly customer service when interacting with guests.
Duties:
- Operate riding lawn mowers to maintain campground lawns and green spaces.
- Trim grass and edges using a string trimmer (weed whacker).
- Maintain campsites, roadsides, picnic areas, beaches, playgrounds, and common areas.
- Pick up litter and empty garbage and recycling containers.
- Clean and maintain picnic shelters, parking lots, boat launch, and other public areas.
- Assist with light landscaping, raking, leaf removal, and seasonal cleanup.
- Report maintenance issues, safety hazards, or damaged equipment to management.
- Assist with other general grounds maintenance duties as required.
Qualifications:
- Experience operating riding lawn mowers and outdoor power equipment is an asset.
- Comfortable working outdoors in a variety of weather conditions.
- Physically able to walk, lift, bend, and perform manual labour throughout the day.
- Self-motivated, dependable, and able to work independently.
- Friendly, courteous, and willing to assist campground guests when needed.
- Valid driver’s licence is an asset.
