Solid Construction Inc. is a well-established and respected General Contracting company based in Kenora, proudly serving Northwestern Ontario since 2003. We are currently seeking motivated, dependable, and hard-working Labourers to join our growing team.

The successful candidate will assist with a variety of residential and commercial construction projects whiles working alongside experienced crew members and supervisors. This position is ideal for individuals who enjoy physical work, working outdoors, and being part of a fast-paced team environment.

No previous construction experience is required; however, experience in construction or general labour is considered an asset. We are looking for individuals with a strong work ethic, willingness to learn, and positive attitude.

Duties:

  • Assist crew members with general construction and labour tasks on job sites
  • Load, unload, move, and organize construction materials, tools, and equipment
  • Perform site clean-up and maintain safe, organized work areas
  • Assist with demolition, excavation, concrete work, and general site preparation as required
  • Operate basic hand tools and power tools safely under supervision
  • Help with material handling, lifting, and transporting materials around job sites
  • Follow instructions from supervisors and experienced crew members
  • Assist with setting up and taking down temporary work areas, fencing, or equipment
  • Ensure tools and equipment are cleaned, stored, and maintained properly
  • Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and PPE requirements
  • Work safely and efficiently in varying outdoor weather and job site conditions
  • Travel to various job sites throughout the NWO region as required
  • Represent Solid Construction Inc. professionally while on job sites and around clients or the public
  • Perform additional labour-related duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Reliable transportation to and from work
  • Ability to perform physically demanding work including lifting, carrying, bending, climbing, and standing for extended periods
  • Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
  • Strong work ethic, reliability, punctuality, and willingness to learn
  • Ability to follow directions and work well as part of a team
  • Positive attitude and willingness to assist where needed on job sites
  • Ability to work safely in a fast-paced construction environment
  • Previous construction or labour experience considered an asset, but not required
  • Safety certifications such as WHIMIS, Working at Heights, or First Aid, considered an asset
  • Flexible availability, including occasional overtime, out of town, or weekend work during peak construction periods
