Wage: $20/hr
Duties:
- Take orders (both dine-in and take-out) and ensure excellent service every time
- Assist with inventory tracking and management for the menu and equipment for the kitchen
- Sort, store, distribute, wash, peel, chop, and cut cooking ingredients for menu preparation and meal production.
- Wash dishes, kitchen and bar equipment, ensuring all used items are clean and stored in the designated areas.
- Assure freshness, quality, and presentation of all menu items and ensure consistency in service.
- Clean kitchen, bar, and public areas (i.e. dining room, bathrooms, etc.) as needed, and in accordance with maintenance schedules.
- Limit overuse and unnecessary waste of ingredients when possible.
- Ensure all daily duties (i.e. opening and closing checklists) are completed and recorded, when necessary.
- Report malfunctioning or underperforming kitchen and bar equipment to management, as needed.
- Be aware of the Chain of Command and where/how to direct customer inquiries and complaints
- Maintain all licenses and certifications as needed as part of employment
- Follow directions from management and adhere to all company policies
- Keep up to date with training and policy changes as implemented
- Communicate clearly, effectively, and appropriately with all colleagues and customers
- Participate in keeping the workplace healthy, safe, and positive for all persons
- Share ideas on kitchen workflow, menu items, and event/special ideas to increase sales.
- Other duties as required
Qualifications:
- Must be Food Safe certified, or have a willingness to obtain within probationary period.
- Smart Serve Certification is not required, but a preferred asset.
- Experience working in a kitchen, bar, restaurant and/or other retail environment is preferred.
