Duties:

As part of a team of professionals, delivers a diverse spectrum of community-based health programs in a multicultural setting for urban and rural communities.  Collaborates with members of the community, community agencies and the health care team for planning, implementing, and evaluating community health programs.

 

Qualifications:

  • Must be enrolled as a student to an a CIPHI accredited post-secondary institution.
  • Demonstrated self-direction and innovation in work and learning
  • Good interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively and independently and in a team setting
  •  Ability to meet assigned and urgent timelines

 

Other: 

  • All new Northwestern Health Unit employees are required to be fully vaccinated with a Health Canada approved COVID-19 vaccine as a condition of hire, unless medically exempt or otherwise exempt under the Ontario Human Rights Code
  • Access to transportation. Mileage allowance provided.
  • Successful candidate requires a clear Criminal Reference Check prior to start of work
