The Construction/Renovation Workers are responsible for performing a wide range of tasks involved in construction, re-modeling and repairs of residential and commercial buildings. This role requires physical stamina and the ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast paced environments.
- Perform general construction and renovation tasks given from start to finish
- Measure, cut and install materials
- Operate hand and power tools safely and effectively
- Collaborate with Team members and subcontractors
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment
In order to be considered for this position, applicants must possess any of the following:
- Significant experience in the field would be considered equivalent to education and training.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Knowledge in basic carpentry, drywall, flooring and painting.
- Must be self-motivated and active-minded.
- Must be able to multi-task in fast-paced setting.
- Cultural sensitivity to the Anishinaabe Culture and Language is a must.
- Must be reliable and punctual.
- Ability to work flexible hours.
- Possess a valid G Class driver’s license and have access to a reliable vehicle.
- Must be able to provide and maintain a clean Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Check
