The Kigamikamin Events Coordinator is a key member of the Kigamikamin Program team, responsible for organizing and managing events that support Residential School Survivors and promote healing, education, and advocacy in the community. With a special focus on the legacy of the Cecilia Jeffrey Indian Residential School, this role requires a culturally grounded, trauma- informed approach to program delivery.
This position works closely with the Kigamikamin Program Coordinator, Community Engagement Coordinator, Cultural Advisor, and various community and organizational partners. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, culturally sensitive, and passionate about supporting Indigenous- led healing initiatives.

Duties of this LEAP Job Posting:
- Organize internal and external events
- Provide administrative support

Qualifications for this LEAP Job Posting:
- Any combination of training and experience equivalent to an office administration certification
- 2–4 years of experience in event planning, office administration, or executive support
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment with multiple stakeholders
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Work independently and as part of a collaborative team
- Handle sensitive information with discretion
- Adapt to changing priorities and managing multiple tasks efficiently
- Excellent communication, time management, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and event management tools (e.g., Eventbrite, MS Word, Excel)
- Flexibility to work evenings and occasional weekends as needed
- Valid driver’s license and access to transportation
- Ability to provide a Vulnerable Sector Check (Upon Successful Applicant)
