Duties of this LEAP Job Posting:

As a Site Surveyor, you’ll play a key role in supporting construction layout and project planning activities. You will work closely with our Project Managers, Site Foremen, and Equipment Operators to ensure accurate site measurements, grading layouts, and field documentation across multiple job sites.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors, has a strong understanding of construction surveying, and is comfortable using total stations, GNSS equipment, and digital layout tools.

  • Conduct site surveys and layout for construction projects including roads, utilities, and site grading.
  • Interpret design drawings and translate them into field layout.
  • Use GPS/GNSS systems, robotic total stations, and digital levels to collect and verify data.
  • Record and report elevation checks, cut/fill calculations, and as-built conditions.
  • Collaborate with engineers and supervisors to resolve site discrepancies.
  • Maintain and calibrate surveying instruments and software.
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols and field documentation standards.
Qualifications for this LEAP Job Posting:
  • 2+ years of experience in construction surveying, civil layout, or a related field.
  • Proficiency with survey instruments (GNSS, total stations) and data collection software.
  • Familiarity with civil drawings, grading plans, and construction tolerances.
  • Strong math, geometry, and spatial skills.
  • Ability to work independently in remote and changing site environments.
  • Valid driver’s license (Class G minimum); willingness to travel between local job sites.
  • Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D or Trimble Business Center considered an asset.
