Duties of this LEAP Job Posting: Overall administrative support is foundational to support the goals of the Northern Ontario Home and Community Care Network and build capacity within the Board Governance. The Administrative Assistant will be well organized, available during scheduled work times and diligent in record keeping, filing and communications. The Administrative Assistant will receive direction from and be accountable to the Executive Director.
The Administrative Assistant will be responsible to:
- Coordinate NOHCCN meetings and events
- Minute notetaking and distribution of documentation at all NOHCCN meetings
- Facilitate electronic record-keeping system
- Provide technical support for Microsoft Office 365 platform
- Generate and maintain administrative forms and advertisements
- Update NOHCCN website and social media page regularly
- Arrange for courier or postal services when required
- Research tasks upon request
- Maintain the privacy and confidentiality of the NOHCCN Board in all matters
- Represent the NOHCCN in a respectful manner
- Other duties may include event assistant tasks at Network events

Desired qualifications for the role of the Administrative Assistant include:
- Grade 12 or equivalent; Office Administration Certificate or previous experience is an asset; willingness to be trained
- Class G license and access to personal vehicle
- Computer skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office Programs
- Demonstrates connection or experience in First Nation Home Care
- Demonstrates strong understanding in Anishinaabe culture, customs and protocols
- Ability to understand Anishinaabemowin is an asset
