Duties of this LEAP Job Posting:

The membership and marketing intern is responsible for membership recruitment, increasing the chambers presence, visibility, and social media profile in the Kenora District. This job is offered in partnership with the Canada Summer Jobs program.

Membership Development 

  • Assist the KDCC by responding to inquiries from existing and potential members.
  • Aid members in accessing available resources.
  • Market the services to members.
  • Market the services to convert potential members into members.
  • Research, develop and improve upon recruitment campaign.
  • Develop and distribute membership packages to business partners.

Program Development 

  • Research, develop, implement, enhance new and existing programs and services to support membership needs.

Marketing 

  • Photograph Kenora area and member businesses to use in social media.
  • Maintain/update KDCC’s web-presence through enhancements to the website and social media.

Communications 

  • Write communications and marketing content to promote KDCC.
  • Write and produce weekly communique.

Creative Design 

  • Assist with graphic design.

Events Management  

  • Assist in the planning and coordination of events

Administrative 

  • Attend and assist with meetings as required.
  • Assist with maintaining and improving government relations.
  • Streamline digital file management by reorganizing and purging files on desktops/laptops.
  • Implement new organizational techniques, such as optimizing SharePoint for enhance collaboration and storage.
  • Update paper file systems to introduce more efficient methods.
  • Reorganize onsite storage to optimize space utilization for equipment and file retrieval.
